boDig invited Cie Mulleras in collaboration with The French Cultural Centre -Istanbul and Kurye Festival to perform "Traces - 96 Détails" at Talimhane Theatre on the 10th of June at 20:00.

“96 DETAILS” is a creative trip designed from 2006 to 2009 by Compagnie MULLERAS, one of the first artists which enabled the setting in visibility of Dance on the Internet network, directed by Magali Viguier-Mulleras (choreographer), Didier Mulleras (choreographer, musician), and Nicolas Grimal (film & multimedia), the artistic team which have already created past projects “mini@tures” and “INVISIBLE”.

From web creations, launched on www.mulleras.com, to stage and screens works, Compagnie Mulleras keeps on experimenting new paths and links between Dance, Film and Multimedia, thus continuing to invest the new artistic workspaces offered by new Technologies.

The long-term project “96 details” proposes a fusion and interaction of distinct universes (dance, music, video, interactive and multimedia works.

THE KNOT THEORY

The Knot Theory is performed on the 3rd of May at 19:00 in Ibn Rachiq Theatre (Tunis)

Knot: Is it a problem that needs to be solved? Or a connector that binds the torn? Can it be both?The only way to bind what only seems bonded in the surface is to cut even deeper. While “The Knot Theory” analyzes the surface and below the surface sides of incidents and relations, it is affected by the mathematical theory of Koningsberg’s Seven Bridges, a surgery, absurd theater, and the probabilities that interactive technologies create. When communication webs that consist of disconnected pieces are connected in different ways can they cause variant outcomes? “The Knot Theory” is a search with body language that goes deep in a well of possibilities.

This work has been developed at Absent Interfaces Lab in Tanzquartier Wien (Austria), artist residency at L’animal a l’esquena (Spain) and rehearsals at Performing Arts Track at Istanbul Bilgi University (Turkiye). It has been performed at garajistanbul during boDig 08 Festival, and partially at Pixelist Festival.

Workshop: Interactive Play with Movement

This is a movement workshop realized with specially written codes using MaxMSP/Jitter software. It is a design for perception suggestive of the redefinition of time and space. Based on the relations of the physical body with its processed images, the workshop is triggering improvisation and creativity by re-positioning the parameters of space, and transfers virtual movement to actual environment.

Human Gait Project

Armando Menicacci, the director of Mediadanse/Univ. Paris 8 is leading a research project called “Human Gait” in collaboration with Aylin Kalem / boDig (Istanbul) and the Performing Arts Track of Istanbul Bilgi University.

To understand the walking parametres is essential for many reasons. In this project, we want to analyse the relative acceleration and deceleration of head-chest-pelvis. With the use of accelerometers, the project is about collecting this data that will be analysed with statistical factor approaches and plotted to verify the hypothesis of existence of few families and groups of walking styles.

50 dancers and non-dancers in Istanbul participated as test subjects on the 15th and 16th of April 2009 at E4-302 in santralistanbul.

Light Travels Through My Body / workshop for children @ santralistanbul

“Light travels through my body” is a movement workshop for children (7-12) based on specially written codes using MaxMSP Jitter software. It is a design for perception suggestive of the redefinition of time and space.
